The Black Forrest Lodge grew out of an old clinic that was empty for a few years before being bought by the Gessler family (Hotel Schloss Reinach).
The family invested two million euros in the conversion of the fantastically located property. Ten light-flooded apartments for up to eight people and a relaxation area with sauna and shower were created. The greatest strength of the Black Forest Lodge is certainly its location: Immediately you are in the fresh air and can experience the boundless nature.
Nature and sustainability were also in the focus of the building concept, which comes from architect Wolfgang Schweizer of Oberried. Natural materials from the region, energy-efficient design and an ecologically reasonable embedding into the environment were the focus of the conversion. Accordingly, the Black Forest Lodge combines local woods, stone and, above all, a lot of glass, which invites you to a magnificent view.
The Black Forest Lodge - our small contribution to strengthen the Black Forest as one of the most important holiday regions in Germany; and the proof that an exceptional holiday is possible even without a long flight.
